Classic Brands Celadon Ventilated Gel Memory Foam and Innerspring Hybrid 12-Inch Mattress | Bed-in-a-Box California King

I bought a Sealy Matress in 2012 when I purchased my Queen bed, total price $2400. (Nice Mohagany bed and mattress). The mattress lasted about 2 years before the springs began to sag, and I put up with it until now, getting a memory foam topper and even flipping it upside down even though it wasn't made to. Used boards, pillows anything to keep it from sagging. Thing is, I broke my back in 2009 and am in bed a lot since it is so bad they can't operate. But soft beds are not for me or my back. The Sealy was supposed to be a very firm mattress, but it wasn't. Having lost everything and getting some settlements from disability I bought everything I could with the money I got the bed among them so I needed it to last - cause I can't afford another $1000 mattress. I joined Amazon in 2011 and I love shopping here. Lately, they've been giving me payment options, (5 monthly with no interest) and I bought a computer and other things when they offer it. I was searching for an inexpensive mattress a hybrid because I'm 220 (I quit smoking and gained weight and have lost 30 lbs, and will lose more I hope) and I need something I won't sink into and that I can sit on the edge of. This mattress was offered for $189.00 and I read all the reviews and decided that I would probably get a firm one, which was everything I wanted. So far, it is. It came via UPS and they left it at the back door, didn't ring the bell and he was walking back to his truck before I got outside. The cardboard box was beat up, but not too bad. I got some neighbors to take it upstairs for me and I undid everything and when I cut the plastic wrap it started inflating. The mattress is pristine, no marks, no rips, tears, anything and inflated perfectly. In 8 hours it was it's full height. It is now the next day and been 24 hours and I've set it up with a Sealy memory foam 3" Topper and it is PERFECT. Very firm. Even without the topper I thought it very comfortable, but the topper makes it just great. I bought some deep pocket Queen sheets and they fit a bit tight. So... that's my experience and I'm so far impressed with the quality and the firmness of the mattress. It is comfortable, you can't feel the springs through it unless you press very hard, but get a topper, it'll be perfect and you won't have to pay $1000 for a mattress that will probably be useless in a few years. I noticed the price went to $215 and I would pay that, and even if this only lasts a few years, I'll have gotten my money's worth and will just replace it or get one like it. I will update in six months and a year to tell you how it's going.Update: It is now almost September, 2019 and this mattress is stellar. Has not lost any of its spring, and is still quite firm but comfortable. With the memory foam mattress topper on it (eggshell type) it has been great on my back. I could not be happier with it. Note: I have been flipping it every three months to different sides since I am heavier than my wife. So far, it has held up well. I'll update in the spring, 2020... I notice though that the price went up to $231 but that is still a really good price. I'm thinking of buying another an storing it to use in five years (if this one lasts). I suspect the price will keep going up on these....Update 2: (May 2020) This mattress is awesome. It hasn't sagged a bit, is still nice and firm and holding up well. I make sure and flip it every couple of months and with the topper, you can even turn it upside down. It was hard to get queen sheets to stay on - so I bought all king sheets and they are better, I see price is now $217 and that's good, don't be afraid to order this mattress!

This mattress is so firm to sleep on. It really bothered my back. After some time I called the company and eventually got a replacement mattress of a different kind, and that one fit me perfectly. I really appreciate the companys approach - they deserve all the stars. The latex mattress however should be reclassified perhaps as more firm. Its great to sit on, or lay on on your back for a little bit, as its firm, but for sleeping on it, its not the best match unless you like a really firm surface.

After weeks of research I decided to go with this bed. It's only been a little over week that I've slept on it so I'll update this review over time. It took about 4 days to arrive (I have prime) due to label issues. Im still not sure whose at fault for that, but it made me a little upset knowing that i had just moved and didnt have my bed on time.The box is heavy and will take more than 1 person to lift. We had to ask the ups driver for assistance. Thankfully he was kind enough to help. After unpacking I let the mattress sit for 36 hours and slept like a baby.The mattress is more firm than I thought it would be so I'm searching for a 1-2 inch topper. Honestly, you cant beat it for the price. I got a king and I'm satisfied. There's a combined weight of 450-500 lbs on the bed and its holding up so far.

I spent more time than I care to admit researching a mattress that was not the cheapest, yet offered the fundamentals in terms of quality and longevity without spending a lot. I am thoroughly happy with this mattress. It supports one adult co-sleeping with a toddler most of the time, and has not diminished at all in terms of support after one year. It might even rival our $1000+ pocketed coil mattress in terms of how one feels upon waking. You and your back feel supported!So what does distinguish this $200 mattress from something far more expensive? For one, if I kick the sides, I can feel the springs. Same goes for plunging / falling directly onto the mattress from a height. There are springs within. Yet I cannot feel the springs nor does it feel spongy or weak at any time during rest or any normal use (mattresses are not designed to be jumped on, right?). Also, I'm happy about the side support, which was one of my initial concerns in buying a budget mattress. This one totally stands up, no pun intended. No drawbacks whatsoever.

I have been sleeping on this California King hybrid mattress now for about a month. It replaced a really old higher end SeaXX pillow top old school mattress that was waaay overdue for replacement . Pros : nice looking, firm , hybrid coils and foam combo , silent coils when tossing and turning , delivered to your door . Cons : I am an average guy 6 ft 2 inch 190 lbs . I have found that I get uncomfortable pressure points on my hips when briefly sleeping on my side as i am primarily a back sleeper. Its FIRM but I really like it . To soften it up I bought a $100 SxL brand latex topper here on Amazon and problem solved. So all in I have $500 on this California King that I really like. I have noticed no sagging so far at one month . I sleep cooler as this mattress' foam doesnt envelope you and make you hot . It sleeps cooler than my old sealXX pillow top did . I will update as time goes on .

I like this mattress very much. It is a firm mattress and that's just how I like them, same for my pillows. Box came torn up but plastic around the mattress protected it from damage. As soon as I cut open the plastic the mattress began to decompress. It says wait a day or two or whatever, but It was ready in like an hour after opening. Before this mattress I couldn't sleep on my stomach it would cause me temporary lower back pain, now it's been my third night on the mattress and honestly I have no pain when sleeping on my stomach. I recommend this to anyone looking for a firm, value mattress that delivers good quality feel and comfort. I will buy again in future if still available.

So far I think this mattress will be perfect. I just unrolled it but i can tell it's going to live up to the extra firm promise which is what i wanted. If your looking for something with a plush top layer this is probably not the mattress for you as I can tell the top layer of latex is pretty thin but again, I wanted that. The only reason they lost two stars is because it has a blue stain on it. I don't think it's anything gross, it looks like pen ink or something. But I'm concerned that I will either have to exchange it or forfeit my warranty. And I really don't want to lug it back to purolator. Anyways I've reached out to the company so I would happily give it five stars if that can be fixed somehow.
