Great book for kids if you love San Diego

He really enjoys the book!

This book is adorable. We bought it as a going away gift for someone leaving California and it was exactly what we were hoping for. No, it's not the next New York Times best seller, but it's a cute kids' book that visits a bunch of iconic San Diego spots.

Book is great for 2's and 3's - nice colorful photos - simple text. Problem was when it shipped or more probably when it was stored before shipping, board pages were so compressed that I had to pry some of them open to the point of tearing and ripping the board fibers.

If you are deciding between Good Night (GN) California, San Diego or San Francisco, and have never read them, I would strongly recommend GN California. I bought 2 versions and read the 3rd at the pediatrician's office. I cannot speak for GN Los Angeles because I haven't read it.California not only covers highlights from SD, SF and LA, the pictures and text are more interesting, sharper in print quality and the rhymes flow better.This is a cute gift for a giver-recipient who has ties to California either as a native, temporary resident or tourist.

I love this series. We get one book for each place we travel. It hits all the major landmarks and family fun places. It's a nice review of our vacation and also nice to read before we leave so my child knows what we are doing and where we are going.

Love this book! I often give it to friends for their new babies. I like showing kids the San Diego landmarks.

I was disappointed with this book because I've enjoyed collecting many others in the series for my toddler. We have Good Night NYC, Oregon, Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago and like them all. For some reason I feel like the illustrations in San Diego are not nearly as good. I also think it's not a good, well-rounded look at San Diego as most of the pages focus on the Balboa Park area. Overall disappointing.
