DMC Diamant Metallic Needlework Thread, 38.2-Yard, Ebony

I love to create and for the card sets I've been working on, I needed a touch of gold to accent the metallic paints I used - this gold thread was perfect. Not too thick and not too thin either. This was that extra special touch I wanted and got using this thread.

very let down was expecting a shine, instead it is just black sewing thread

I use this for small embroidering details in different art projects and it is super pretty and feels pretty sturdy, but it frays ALL THE TIME. The ends are always unraveling from its single strand into the 3 smaller strings that make up the whole, making it difficult to keep everything together or from tangling. Otherwise, its a very nice thread and will make for cute lil stars on my pieces!

The color and hint of sparkle is very beautiful. It adds elegance to projects subtly, however when you cut the thread to the size that you want to work with, it tends to fray immediately. It has also started to fray while working with the thread sometimes

I bought this silver thread and their gold thread to use with paracord to make pretty wedding-type rings for myself and my husband to wear in place of our rings. I must say, we both are amazed at how beautiful the thread is! It adds just the light sparkle we were hoping for. The thread is silky and did not break on me as I had to tighten the paracord stitch (I was a little worried it might but it worked perfectly). I've washed my hands a hundred times since wearing the ring and all is well. I look forward to using it to make some more of these rings ... and I just may eventually use it with my sewing machine for that kind of project! LOL

I bought both gold for light fabric and silver for dark fabric. It works well because it is thin. I use it on 40 and 36-count cross stitch fabric for gridding, and it works great. It keeps me from counting the same squares over and over.

The thread is great colour and well spun. Only thing is it separates when cut but that's not a huge issue so far.Update: embroidered with this thread to make lovely christmas sacks. Once accustomed, this thread was a dream to use. The finishing looked great and even afyer washing it held it's shine.

This is the best metallic thread I’ve used. It’s easier to use than others I’ve used. I’ve used it on some of the Christmas cards I’m doing

Arrived earlier than expected. I always find DMC threads good quality and easy to use. This is the first time I've used metallic gold/silver thread in cross stitch, therefore, I can't give an opinion if durability.

You can’t beat DMC for a standard quality of product and, as per usual, this didn’t disappointProducts arrive days earlier than the given date given and were excellent value for moneyI would definitely use this vendor again

Arrived 5 days before due date. DMC Diamant Metallic Embroidery Thread 38.2yds - Colour (Red Ruby). Excellent Value for money. Super quality of thread that you expect from DMC. Beautiful shade of Red. With this thread mixed with normal embroidery threads will give my cross stitch an extra twist and a shimmer.
