I got this dog bowl for a 25 pound poodle mix. It is a TAD, big for the size of my dog proportionally, but it doesn't bother the dog at all. My biggest issue with thin stainless steel bowls or plastic bowls was that my dog would push that bowl all around the room by the time he's finished with his food. However this bowl has a lot of weight to it, allowing it to stay in place and gives my dog a nice STATIONARY meal haha.It's sturdy, and definitely has a feel of quality to it. I've always chosen ceramic bowls for my dogs simply for quality. The design is simple and elegant and is the best dog bowl I've had in years.So if you dog is a medium size, and likes to push his food out of the bowl, or moves the bowl around a lot while eating, this is the perfect bowl for your pet.It is also dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. So this will also benefit those who like to give their dogs a warm meal, or have to prepare hand-made meals for their pet.

We've had a petrageous ceramic water bowl for years, need ceramic due to sensitivities to plastic and stainless. I was heartbroken when the rim broke (after years of heavy use with two bulldogs and visiting toddlers). Thought this would be an excellent replacement but it's smaller than the original and this is the largest ceramic water bowl by petrageous I could find. Other than being slightly smaller this bowl is great. Easy to wash, durable and the pattern is super cute. Fits in nice with our petrageous slow feed ceramic bowls.

These are my favorite dog bowls. They are so easy to clean, and they can easily go in the microwave to warm up my dog's wet food. Plus they last forever, I've had one for over 10 years and it still looks great!

I bought this as I had broken another one by the same company by letting it slip out of my hand about 1/2" from the wood floor (on a plastic tray). I figured it was time to replace it so I got 2 more - one for water and one for food.The first two arrived broken from Amazon as they were just wrapped in bubble wrap but left loose in the box. The replacements were packed a little better.The bowl looks nice and is large enough for the 1.5 cups of dry food and 1/2 can of wet food I give my 70 lbs. dog. The sides are vertical which prevents foot spillage on the floor. The water (other) bowl will hold ~20 oz. of water comfortably so you don't spill when moving but can hold up to about 28 before it tops off. This is nice as it doesn't run out during the day (I have a separate bowl in the bedroom for night time).The finish is slick so food won't stick to it as long as you don't let it crust over. If it does you can easily wash it off with one of those mesh non-scratch plastic sponges but it helps to presoak it first.I wanted to get the Petrageous bowl as they claim not to have lead in the paint / materials. Although I have no way of verifying this I would like to think it is true.The other nit-pick I have is the bottom ring that the bowl actually sits on is rough so it could scratch surfaces. I have granite countertops and I don't think it will scratch but I am careful when mixing the food just in case.This is a great bowl as long as you are not clumsy and drop it and it works great in the microwave when I'm heating up the other 1/2 of the can.

My dog previously had this bowl ,that I bought at T.J.Maxx. He actually picked it out and approved it over other choices. My husband dropped a cup in the kitchen and it got shipped ,so I decided to go to Amazon and buy the exact same bowl. The first thing I like about this is the design, the elevated rim cuts down on dripping and food falling outside the bowl when feeding. I also like the fact that it's microwave safe because I like to warm my dog's food in the winter.

I purchased 2 of these for my pooch to replace his old plastic set when one of the bowls got broken. These wash easily in the dishwasher, don't retain odors, & have yet to chip or scratch. The glaze & details are well done, & they are very nice looking. These would be a great set for a doggy birthday or as a gift for a dog lover. I ordered 2 bowls and they arrived broken and had to be thrown in the garbage. I did not reorder for fear of the same thing happening!Disappointment

For our golden retriever this is the perfect size bowl. It arrived well packed so no chips or breakage while shipping. Goes in dishwasher for ease of cleaning.
