Great book

The author has touched a very important subject which remained neglected for a long period of time. His meticulous research on muhaddithat is highly commendable and is a great contribution to Islamic literature. This book dispels many inhibitions such as the absence of women scholars in Islam as well as little space for women in Islam. The special emphasis of the author on Umme al darda who delivered highly enriching lectures which were attended by the then Caliph in the mosque. The reflections of the author on the higher degree of authenticity of the hadith collected by muhaddithat as compared to their counterpart muhaddith is amazing. This work also establishes beyond doubt that Islam has always given ample freedom to women scholarship ever since the beginning as a huge number of hadith were first reported by Umm-ul- Momineen Hazrat Ayesha (RA) and then about 900 women scholars of hadith find space in this book of rare scholarship out of a total 8000 muhaddithat in comprehensive research conducted by this author.This book is well researched, informative, analytical and enriching. The author needs to be appreciated for selecting a rare subject and producing a highly commendable work on it. This book is worth the money spent on it.
