Great shoe, comfortable from the first wear. Looks sharp! Was worried about sizing with European sizing. I wear 12.5 and got a 45. Maybe slightly bigger, but still fine.

I have been looking for the ECCO Holton shoe for months. Finally decided that the shoe was discontinued… a sad day for me. This shoes style similarly. The Holton was leather lined on the inside and was extremely comfortable. This Helsinki2 has some lining, but not farther down inside the shoe. Still the Helsinki2 looks nice and offers a good amount of foot comfort with just enough extra height to accommodate my hammer toes. I like the shores enough to give 4 stars. The Holton was the only 5 star shoe I ever owned.

This pair is solid, like my previous pair lasted about ten years, worn daily. The leather and the sole are thick. One warning for people unused to thick leather: They felt too small when I first put them on (as usual with leather), but before returning them, I wore them around the house a day. They conformed and the fit is perfect.

Unfortunately my local shoe store that sold this brand went out of business after I bought this same shoe over the last 10 years. I have always bought the same 43 size Ecco slip on shoe and it would last about 7 or 8 months. So I came on here and found it for a good price. It only lasted me about 3-4 months which was unfortunate. I re ordered the same exact shoe size and its extremely tight around my feet and hurting. I put my old pair side by side and both are 43 in size but the new one is way too tight. Not sure why there is no consistency or why the same shoes fit so differently and don't last nearly as long as my local shoe store did.

I have bought this shoe perhaps a dozen times over the past fifteen years or so and it is reliably comfortable, with good support, hard-wearing - I wear them almost daily and regularly clock up ten thousand steps each day. They are very waterproof and the sole does well in snow up to 1.5" and they work well on grassy and even muddy terrain. An excellent everyday shoe.
