Great addition to your vehicle
The media could not be loaded. Hello ,This is my first time writing a review for any item, For a while I was looking to add apple car play to my vehicle without replacing my stock display screen and I had no luck until I came across this product.Carpride 7inc work great for me , sound is not the greatest if you use the am/fm transmitted. To get the quality sound you should use your aux on your vehicle.Screen works beautiful to, very fast, love it.I love that you can add a custom boot up screen.Thanx to Tina over at Carpride customer service to helping me to add my vehicle logo screen.

It wasn’t bad, it was fast and interactive but the sound quality through my car wasn’t good and it was staticy

A Good Attempt - but a Failure in the End. Shady Customer Service
I purchased this directly from Carpuride's website as it was significantly cheaper - which I don't recommend because their "return policy" means you must return the item to them in CHINA at a cost that is often more than you paid for the unit. When I attempted to do so at my company's negotiated shipping rates, it was still over $50 and Customer Service asked me to lie on the customs forms.As for the unit, while in theory it's a great attempt, there's many issues that prevent this from being a viable solution for most people:1. Since you're connected via CarPlay or AndroidAuto, you'll be using the native capabilities for phone calls that come in. Unfortunately, this unit's mic is absolutely terrible. The person on the other end cannot understand the person in the car as they are very muffled, even if the unit is mounted on the A pillar right next to the driver directly facing them.2. The unit doesn't know what time it is (the clock starts at 00:00 each time it's turned on), which means functions like AndroidAuto's day/night map functions don't work properly. AndroidAuto expects the vehicle to control day/night mode (there are some developer tools to override this, but not for the average user), which means it's night and the unit is way too bright. Support's official answer: "Android Maps does not provide switching between day and night modes"3. Speaking of brightness, while it tried to auto-adjust, the sensor is too reactive and will brighten the screen for simple things like an oncoming car with headlights on.4. If you have multiple connected phones in the car, it has trouble knowing which to use. It seems to default to the Apple device. When I'm the only one there, it fails to connect to my Android device at all. I have to manually initiate it from my phone (not the device) each time we start the car.So...it may work for some - for example if you only have 1 connected phone and only use CarPlay...maybe...but the average household will find many issues with this device.For me, after Customer Service asked me to lie on the customs form, I contacted my Credit Card company and filed a dispute. I was successful and received my refund. Be warned!Remember that most of the videos and such are paid/compensated reviews.

Its ok.
I got this as a Christmas present. I wanted car play but didn’t want to change my radio. The first few days, it worked great. Then only the speakers on the right side of my car got sound. I would restart it, and that would go away. Then it got worst. I read that the AUX cable sent is low quality, so I replaced it with a high-quality cable. That seems to fix it for a few days, and it's back again. I tested the good cable with my phone and others plugged into my car stereo, and the sound was terrific. It’s the device.I tried to connect using FM radio. The sound quality was horrible when it connected.The device does not have the ability to switch between two different phones saved. It will only connect to the first device. There is no option to change the order of devices. The software does not allow that. So, it only works with ONE phone. The other option is to have the second person add and remove their phone each time or turn off the Bluetooth. I found neither of these options to be feasible.I removed all phones, reset the device to factory settings, and followed the manual to the letter to set it up again. Now its restarts repeatedly. I can’t adjust the equalizer settings. I was able to remove my phone and reset it back to the factory.I tried for over a week to contact Carpuride and the seller via Amazon with zero response. I also left messages via their website, which leads to WhatsApp, and called a ton of times with no answer and no response. I finally received a reply 3 days before Amazon's return deadline. They were closed for the Chinese New Year and have just returned to the office. This company is located in China.This device is a good one in theory when it actually works. The one I got never worked properly out of the box, and it took nearly a month to get help. I’m returning it. It's garbage, as far as I am concerned. Customer service is nonexistent. The company does not list open hours, and the time difference from the US to China makes it difficult to reach a real person via WhatsApp(the company’s only offered method of telephonic communication). They are slow to answer emails.It’s a good concept but has many flaws, making it unusable.Edit: The company did ship me a replacement and that is working fine. Amazon customer service created all kinds of issues when I tried to find out information about the device. All around it was a bad experience. The replacement so far (it's been 3-4 days) is working great. Getting sound from all speakers and no more boot loop. The software is a bit different. I had dark mode before and that feature seems to have disappeared.

Super Easy Installation & Great Customer Service
My husband bought this for me because my 2016 car does not have Car Play. It's incredibly easy to install and connect to Bluetooth (basically just plug it in to the power port and connect to the phone). The wires are easy to hide. I had a problem early on and the customer service is extremely responsive and they took great care of me. They sent videos showing me how to do what I needed. The sound from the unit is what you'd expect from a speaker so tiny, but my sound comes from the car speakers so it doesn't matter. The display is clear and I love seeing my map, calendar, and audio at the same time. It reads me my texts and allows me to respond with dictation. The voice commands also work great. I'm very happy with this unit, so much so that I bought one for my mom. Great value for the money and no need to pay for expensive installation of a mounted head unit.
