I love the idea of these light strips, but had a couple issues. The connectors were infuriating, sometimes they'd work after being connected, other times not. It took a long time to get all the sections under our cabinets to actually come on reliably. You'd get the connector on the strip section, and it would work, then you'd stick it under the cabinet and it would now not work. If they could make the connectors more reliable, I'd give these lights a solid 5 stars. Also, using the strips alone didn't work too well, sometimes the adhesive came loose, and they made distinct spots of light on the counters. We found the Muzata aluminum tracks that have a diffuser cover, and this made installation *much* easier, not having those floppy strips to manipulate.

I installed under and over cabinet lighting in my kitchen using Armacost LED tape, and Armacost transformers (3 different sizes for 3 different runs). The whole system works flawlessly and produces nice even lighting. I found that I got the best results with the quick-connect cables when I took the time to remove the paper and the 3-M sticky film from the back of the LED strip about 1/2 inch. This allowed the copper connecting pads to be clean on both the top and bottom of the LED strip, and there was no sticky residue that made it hard to insert the tape into the quick connect block. I'd highly recommend the Armacost products.

Couldn’t be happier. So simple to install. Super versatile. Did undercabinet lighting, 3 sections. Our electrician hard-wired the three spots to one switch. And we installed the lights ourselves. The tape is wired on both ends, so we were able to use two 8’ packages for all three spots. One end has 6-8” of connecting wire, the other has about a yard. We cut that down to about 8” for the third strip. We did have to buy 3 dimming drivers though, since we put in a dimmer at the switch. But it was nice to save a little on the tape light. Highly recommend. Also highly recommend using a dimmer for practical use versus mood lighting.

This is the second time I’ve used Armacost tape lighting. First time was for under cabinet lighting in our kitchen remodel two years ago. This time I bought them for in-cabinet lighting in the pantry of our camper van. I’ve seen other tape lights for fewer $$, but I appreciate the apparent Armacost quality. I also appreciate the online support documentation that Armacost provides in addition to their good included instruction sheet.

I have always wanted to be one of the cool kids that had lighting under the cabinets for the countertops; and now I am! These things are pretty cool, very bright, worked well with their companion dimmable transformer that I connected to my sink light so they both come on at the same time. Being dimmable is really nice so when I wake up in the morning to make a cup of coffee I can turn them on the dimmest setting so I don't have to burn my retina's our of my eyes first thing in the morning.Only little hiccup was that one or two areas of the strip, the adhesive tape was coming off the strip, but I was able to pinch it back down and it seems to have stayed so far. I have had them installed for a few weeks now and haven't noticed any loss of adhesion or sagging so that is good.

UPDATE: I heard back from their customer service the first business day after sending my email and they're sending a replacement strip. Great service! Changing to 5 stars (from 4)Pros:- I like how thin they are- The light color of the 2700k is perfect and warm with an even light distribution- Plenty bright- Easy installation with dimmer or switchCons:- Adhesive isn't great and require a little supplementation- A few of the LEDs were out upon arrival (I just sent an email and I'm waiting to hear back from customer service)- I wish they'd include a splicer with the purchase to connect multiple strands

Love Armacost products, but the color of the LED's on this strip were a sallow, greenish yellow color, didn't put our backs-plash in the best light. Returned and ordered a strip with 90 CRI

Simple Excellence. Works great under our cabinets in the Kitchen. Much better than the old bulky lights from years ago. Quiet, no humming, energy efficient, and very even lighting. Watch several videos on line first and then think how to install for your specific situation. Ask friends and neighbors if they have it. Seeing it makes it easier to install.
