Wasn't too sure if they would work with my stihl 56 rc-e but happily surprised that they do. Smaller than the OEM spring i got with the eater originally but still works fine

It work but not the right fit. Not company fault. I was looking for something similar and thought it would work.

I don't know why Stihl sells trimmer line spools without a spring included, but these springs are an absolute perfect fit so you can have a spare spool fully ready to go without having to pull the spring out of an empty spool to put it in your spare spool before using it. Swopping a spring doesn't sound like a big deal until the spring flings into the tall weeds when you're pulling it out and now you have two spools (one empty and one fully strung) and you can't do a single thing with either one because there's no spring to be found. With these new springs, every spool I have (3 total) now has a spring in place and is fully ready for use. No more swopping or loosing springs.

Little big but they work

Used these springs with extra bump heads to pre-wind trimmer line for quick change. Worked well.
