Minimum config is an excellent value laptop, mem/disk upgrades pricey, good battery, can get warm
I got the minimum configuration unit--16GB memory and 256GB disk. I'd say the reports are true that circa 2025 this is a great value for a laptop, coming from Apple (though the prices for extending the memory and disk are pretty outrageous for how little of a bump you get, hence why I didn't upgrade.) It's the first time I've had a laptop that can do all-day battery life...how much it uses depends on what you're doing, but it's in a new league and I really can carry it without the charger. The slab design isn't particularly exciting and it's heavier than I expected for the size--I wouldn't describe it as "air" having handled the likes of LG Grams. But in the bargain you get something that feels very sturdy. I think the camera notch at the top is obnoxious and an extremely dated concept, but one gets used to it eventually.Performance-wise it seems to breeze along just fine, and at most tasks (outside of running x86 virtual machines) can beat a nearly-4-year-old ThinkPad P17 high-end workstation laptop with 64GB of RAM. If you do leave it grinding on a task, it can get hot enough that you can even feel it on the keys...which to me is more of an issue than that it throttles and runs tasks more slowly. But I don't use this as a main workstation, it's just a device for "when I need to do an apple thing" (e.g. create builds of computer code to test that they work on Macintosh).I'm happy enough with it--and feel it was a better choice to get this than a M4 mini. I considered the mini, but the convenience of being able to use and administrate it with an attached screen and keyboard just made it worth paying extra to have a little portable device I could apply to more scenarios. Though given that a lot of my work is in Linux Virtual Machines and using lots of memory, it won't be my my daily driver...and even on tasks when the performance can rival/exceed the ThinkPad P17, the keyboard and screen real estate aren't enough for anything but short sessions.

Power, Portability, and Intelligence – The MacBook Air M4 Delivers It All
Apple has truly outdone itself with the latest MacBook Air powered by the M4 chip. It’s incredibly fast and responsive—I can easily switch between multiple apps, edit high-resolution videos, and even run demanding software without a hitch. The speed boost is noticeable right out of the box.The Apple Intelligence features are a game-changer. Writing, organizing, and task management feel effortless, and I love that everything runs locally with top-tier privacy—Apple never sees my data, and that peace of mind matters.Battery life is impressive too—I get up to 18 hours of use, which easily gets me through long workdays or travel without worrying about charging. The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is stunning: colors are vibrant, text is crisp, and everything just looks beautiful.I also appreciate the upgraded camera and audio setup. The 12MP Center Stage camera and Spatial Audio speakers make video calls and media consumption feel premium.Connectivity is solid with Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for two external displays, and if you're in the Apple ecosystem like I am, the continuity features with iPhone (like mirroring and shared clipboard) are incredibly useful. In short, if you’re looking for a powerful, lightweight laptop that’s smart, secure, and built to last—this is the one to get.

A Smaller but Very Powerful Computer
I'm very impressed with the 13 inch macbook air computer and it arriived in perfect shape. If I'd waited a short time later to to place the order the price had been reduced by $100 but I'm stil glad I bought it when I did.

Rendimiento

Good quality for price
Works well with adobe software, good processing and memory. Battery isn't too bad either. It doesn't get warm or overheat. The screen is sleek with a nice display to it. I'm using it pretty much everyday, sound is pretty nice too. I think it will be worth what I've paid for it but I've only had it a couple weeks this far

Same fantastic design!!
The M4 MacBook Air is super fast I’m upgrading from a late 2013 MacBook Air and the difference is night and day. All of my apps run flawlessly and the battery life is incredible, I get around 14 hours. I use both windows and macOS and I am well versed in both. I tend to prefer the MacBook for travel and a PC for gaming. The keyboard is incredibly comfortable and easy to type on and Touch ID is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, lightweight laptop. Excellent value for money since the base specs have been upgraded. Oh and the speakers are crisp and clear.
