Absolutely fantastic book trilogy. If you like the Arthurian legend then you will be completely hooked on these books. One of the most engrossing books I’ve ever read, fantastic story.

Amazing retelling of the story. Very cinematic and well written. A real journey through time (very realistic and groovy medieval details) and myth (nice atmosphere and mystery). Very recommended. The book/object is alright, text clear and readable.

Plenty to get your teeth into. A book full of history combined with BCs great fiction. You will need to read this twice simply to get your head around all the names, places and details. This book goes straight into my library! It passes the quality test with flying colours. Too much to explain but basically its all about the period from when the Romans left to the British taking back over and then having to fight the Saxons who were determined to have as much land as possible in this 'their' new frontier. It won't be what you expect! So treat yourself to a great read. In Bernard Cornwells own words 'These are his favourite books'!!!! and by the way they are much, much easier to read than Le Morte D'Arthur!

Bought the trilogy and they are by far the best books he has written and the leading Arthurian tales that albeit with some magic, are actually set in sub roman Briton. Best I've read in some time.

I'm sure the books are excellent, but these versions are scaled down and unreadable for me even with my reading specs.

Master of adventure!!!I absolutely love love love how he incorporates fiction into actual history! When he writes of the battles he makes you feel like you are witnessing them as they ate so realistic!
