Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, MONODEAL Heavy Bass Headphones Over Ear Noise Cancelling with Microphone, Wired Folding and Lightweight Travel Headset with Carrying Case

These are the first pair of noise cancelling headphones that I have tried - so I have nothing to compare them to. With the disclaimer out of the way, these fit comfortably, have a proper fit around the ears (which I would say provides 80% of the noise suppression), fold down relatively small and are wired for aircraft/non-blue-tooth use. The noise suppression switch provides a boost in bass and some white noise; I don't think there is any noise sampling/suppression algorithm here. The battery charges quickly and has lasted eight hours without failing. I REALLY like the cord - it is flexible enough to go where you want it but robust enough that it isn't a tangled mess after sitting in a bag for sixty seconds. At this price point I think these are a good product...I know that if I paid more for a set of phones I would expect too much and ultimately be disappointed.After a pair of five hour flights, I have increased the star rating to five. The noise cancelling switch was VERY effective at dulling the jet engine noise and the batteries handled the long flights without complaint. My freakishly large ears started to get sensitive to the circumaural phones at about the three hour mark, but I have yet to find any headphones that lasted that long before triggering discomfort. I'm pretty damn happy with this purchase and would recommend this model to anyone looking to take a long flight.

Had these a couple of weeks now. Have used at the gym and for air travel. I am very satisfied with the product, Build quality seems good, not flimsy at all. Are they as good as Bose? Of course not! But they do work well. I just returned from a trip with about 21 hours in a plane. These were a lifesaver. The ear cups are comfortable for extended periods (8 hours on my longest air leg) and they reduce outside noise by 30-40 percent just by themselves ( just my estimate as I did not have a decibel meter). Turn on the active noise canceling and it reduced the jet engine roar to almost nothing. It works well on a constant and even sound like the engine roar. It does not work as well on more intermittent sounds or on the music played at my gym. It is, however, easier to hear my music at the gym just because the ear cups do such a good job blocking the music played by the gym. The main reason for four stars and not five is the actual music sound quality. Bass response is good as is the mid-range but high tones are just not there. Music lacks any sense of brilliance and pop. Overall though, I would buy them again. Better than $300 or so for Bose.

I LOVED these headphones when I got them. The sound is better than a set of Bose earbuds I'd used for a long time, in particular the bass - it was clear but not overdone. They are very comfortable to wear and pretty sturdy; I folded and unfolded them several times per day, shoved them in my purse (without the included pouch), dropped them, etc. There is no sound leakage - even when listening to rock music at unsafe levels, people next to me couldn't hear a thing. The Active Noise Cancellation was stellar - several friends who own the $350 Bose pair say that the noise cancellation is just as good as that model.That said, I'm so disappointed that after 6 months, the jack plug is getting loose. I use these exclusively to listen to music on my mobile phone, and lately the music has been randomly pausing or skipping to the next song several times per day. I have to fiddle with the connection to my phone to get the sound back, and even then it might pause immediately when I take my hand away. Google Voice searching has also been turning on randomly.Maybe I just got a faulty pair, but given how well they worked in the beginning I kind of doubt so.**Update May 25, 2018**Today I received an email from a customer service rep at MonoDeals, in response to my review above. They offered to rectify the situation, either by sending me a brand new replacement headset or by giving me a full refund. I'm impressed! I asked for a new headset instead of a refund, since I really did enjoy the original headset when it was working properly. Adding back two stars for great (albeit late) customer service.

The real test is going to be a whole series of long flights over next few months. So far testing short haul and on train they are OK, doesn't get rid of all noise so if a table next to you of 4 are chatting away loudly you can still hear them a tiny bit, they get rid of about 70%+ of the background noise this makes listening possible without ear damage volume levels. You CAN hear a baby crying if in the same cabin section of a plane! If you want to sleep, take the audio cord out, put in ear plugs from boots etc (the type you see swimmers, airport and road workers use not those foam things) plus these on and you don't notice a thing.I should have bought with a boom mic as well, but I read the description too fast and realize the mike is for the noise canceling bit only.

I've had these headphones for a few months now and completely love the sound quality of these - I was really suprised, they're excellent for the price. I've bought more expensive headphones and these certainly give a couple of the more expensive ones a run for their money. Just a couple of comments though. I don't like the noise-cancelling feature. It just takes away from the already good sound and distorts it.. The other downside is the in-line microphone. It's so low down on the pair I bought - I don't know if it's like that on every pair but with no clip either it makes it impossible to have a conversation on the phone without lifting the mouthpiece with your hand and holding the mic at a reasonable distance from your mouth.Pros.Sound qualityComfortDurabililtyConsMicrophone positionNoise cancelling makes sound distorted.Despite the slight cons I mentioned I would definitely buy these again.

Inside was a manual, the headphones, a carry bag, usb charging cable and an earphone adapter.When i opened the box i got the usual Chinese plastic smell however this soon went.The headphones themselves look reasonable, they have a standard headphone .connector to plug into your phone/ipod etc. They are comfy to wear and i had no problems. The small control unit has a on/off button for the noise reduction and a phone button.I tested out the headphones and they are good quality sound, however once you activate the noise reduction the quality noticeably drops with the bass almost disappearing. I didnt find it actually helped with noise reduction at all, and preferred it with the function switched off.

These are great sounding headphones and very comfy.The sound is really clear and the bass is good enough, the Noise cancelling is decent enough although if what you are listening to is low then you can still hear background noise a little, don’t however let this put you off as they are still very good headphones and do sound great.They come with usb charger, airplane adapter, instructions and carry pouch.They have an inline block for turning on/off Noise cancelling and also a call button to answer calls. The block also has a built in mic for you to use for calls.Overall these are great sounding and very comfy headphones that i will be using a lot and can recommend them.I must however point out that i received these at a discount price or for free for my honest or unbiased review and i can say this doesn’t affect my review what so ever, i always review as though i have paid full price.

Bought two pairs of these for myself and new husband on our honeymoon as we were travelling to New Zealand which involved lots of flying and knew that in ear options would not be comfortable for such a long time. These headphones were comfy and excellent quality. They’ve been used by family members on subsequent holidays and are still holding well
