Nice to use
Recently, during a move to a new house, I used these 44-litre strong cardboard boxes for packing and transporting a variety of items. After fully testing their capabilities, here’s a comprehensive look at how these boxes held up during the moving process.Durability and StrengthThese boxes are advertised as strong, and they certainly lived up to that description. They handled heavy loads like books and kitchenware without any issue. The cardboard felt thick and sturdy, resisting punctures and tears when being moved around or when packed tightly in a moving van. The bottom of the boxes held up well, showing no signs of sagging or breaking, which is crucial when you’re stacking boxes for transport.Size and CapacityEach box measures 47cm x 31.5cm x 25cm, providing a good balance between size and manageability. The 44-litre capacity is ideal for a variety of items, making them versatile for both personal and professional packing needs. They are large enough to hold a substantial amount but not so big that they become unwieldy or too heavy when filled, which is a common problem with larger boxes.Assembly and HandlingPutting the boxes together was straightforward. They came flat-packed, and folding them into shape was quick and easy, without the need for tape or staples to hold the base, which is often a necessary step with less sturdy boxes. The flaps interlocked securely, and they were simple to seal up once filled. Each box also featured convenient handling cut-outs which made them easier to lift and carry.Eco-FriendlinessMade from cardboard, these boxes are recyclable, which is an important consideration for me. After the move, I was able to break them down easily and take them to a recycling facility, which adds a bonus point for sustainability.Value for MoneyFor the quality and quantity provided, these boxes offer excellent value. They are reasonably priced, especially considering their durability and the number of uses I got out of them before recycling. They are a cost-effective choice for anyone needing reliable packing solutions without overspending.Overall ImpressionsOverall, I am very pleased with these 44-litre cardboard boxes. They were an essential part of making my moving process smoother and more efficient. The combination of strength, size, and ease of use makes them a top recommendation for anyone in need of packing boxes for moving, storage, or shipping purposes. Whether you’re relocating or just need to organize items for storage, these boxes are a robust, practical, and economical choice

Average to poor performance. Wouldn’t buy again.
These are fine for what you pay, but any significant weight (we had light clothing in one and bedsheet set and duvet in another) the handles tear. Badly. As in split right up through the lid and tear away. Two boxes lost and binned due to this. You realistically should be looking to be able to re-use these things again. It’s simple waste, otherwise. They weren’t the cheapest on offer, although not pricey either, but for performance, AND convenience, when you’re moving stuff, that’s cold comfort, if any. They could do with even having paper reinforcement around the cut outs, if the slots aren’t going to be cut to fold upward (I have no idea why you’d cut boxes NOT to have that upward fold, for reinforcement, but there you go). With zero reinforcement, they simply split upward, through the corrugated cardboard, which is not thick. This happens, especially if you stack two light boxes on top of each other (and I mean light, nothing like the alleged maximum weight of the box).I would do with the double walled alternative, next time, in all honesty, as this is a clear issue. I lost two boxes, out of ten, on a flight of stairs, walking down, within thirty seconds of picking them up. We just had to bin them and my son luckily had two old boxes left over for his gear, and nothing that fell was breakable (a set of bedsheets and a double duvet, so NOT heavyweight - but it all needed a wash).A shame, as delivery was fantastic - very fast and the kindly Amazon driver took them right to my son’s top floor flat, which I had not expected. No tape came with them, so I don’t know why folk have commented previously on tape quality. The tape I bought stuck fine (had I realised how weak these handles were, I’d have used the remaining parcel tape to reinforce them!).

good budget option
These boxes seem good on paper decent size, lightweight, and easy to assemble but they’re not ideal for heavy-duty use. They work well for packing lighter items during a move or for storage, but heavier loads might cause them to bend or weaken. Overall, a good budget option if you’re careful about what you pack inside.
