Best waffle maker thats out there!
I took a comparison of my old waffle maker to the ninja brand. What a big difference of the space!Let's talk about the price. My old waffle maker was like maybe $40 and its bigger. Ninja waffle maker is more expensive and tiny. You can say well I have a family the cheaper one is bigger and a better choice. Yeah that's what I thought until I saw tiktok videos bragging how much better ninja waffle is better. I had to try it myself. My family did a comparison. Waffle side to side! Ninja did had to go through more rounds to cook more waffles. What really matters is the taste. The old waffle maker didn't have the fluffines. It felt rubbery to cut it. The ninja waffle maker was like a professional how it cooked. It was fluffy and easier to cut. It may be smaller but it has a better taste then the restaurants and hotel waffles! To clean the old waffle maker was a pain! Batter everywhere and to clean inside was a pain. The ninja was so easy to clean because their was really nothing to clean other then cleaning inside which took less then 30 seconds!Originally I wasnt thinking of making a review when we did a comparison. Ninja waffle maker is the best waffle maker thats out there! I know ninja will make bigger ones in the future!

Great Waffle Maker
I was curious about the vertical design of this waffle maker since I'm used to the horizontal ones hotels used. Because it's the Ninja brand I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I bought this cause it's great. Warms up fairly quickly, has non stick sides so no need to spray oil. There's a bit of trial and error for the amount of batter to use in the provided scoop. I use the Red Mill's Waffle Mix and notice that I need to use more than what's recommend by Ninja for it to cover the whole inside plate, but I'm sure it's because of the mix itself. Cooking time isn't that long, and easy to set the preferred doneness of the waffles with the dial. Clean up is a breeze because of the nonstick. Overall I'm happy with this maker and hope it lasts!

Fun Way to Make GREAT Waffles
Who knew that making sideways waffles could be so fun! And they come out excellent. After fiddling around a little bit with timing, I easily perfected the perfectly browned waffle. While the appliance may be a bit pricey, it is well worth it, especially if you love waffles. The size is great, stores easily in the cupboard, and doesn't take long at all to cook golden brown waffles. This will make a nice gift the next time I attend a wedding or shower.

Wonderful waffle iron
I have tried sever al waffle irons over the years and this product has worked great. I seasoned the waffle iron as directed in the included instructions. Easy clean up! Waffles did not stick. I have made regular belgian waffles and chocolate waffles served with ice cream. Caution: the top of the waffle iron does get hot, so just use the handle! Recommend this waffle iron if it meets your budget.

Worth it despite some cons
This is very nearly perfect! I've tried a box mix and homemade. Each time, they cook beautifully. The timing feature automatically goes off based on the darkness you select. (My personal favorite is 2 for most recipes.) They come off clean, evenly cooked, and no burnt parts (which I cannot stand). It comes with a measuring cup to ensure you get the right amount of waffles, but this can vary a lot by recipe. That is one of the things that makes it not quite perfect. Depending on the recipe, a full may only make half a waffle or a full one. With the upright distribution of the waffle batter, you cannot open it to check if you've put enough in. If you pour too much, it overflows and you have a mess. I was able to kind of figure it out after the first two tries of making it though and am now better able to guess how much to really put into the maker. For more liquid batters, you will need to add more. If it does overflow, it becomes a bit of work to clean up. The waffle maker is obviously hot, which makes cleaning while the batter is wet problematic. Once it cools completely, then you really have to scrub to get it off. I think pouring the batter straight into the waffle maker instead of using the cup eliminates this problem, but you really have to be good at eyeballing measurements in order not to overflow the maker.TLDR: Despite some imperfections, I do find this to be better compared to other waffle makers I've tried. The consistent cook with automatic detection of doneness outweighs the cons for me.TIPS: For thicker batters, you'll add less. I recommend the recipe from Preppy Kitchen. Follow his instructions completely, and you'll get great waffles every time.

Excellent so far.
Initial review, I'll update this in 6 months.I like that it's vertical and takes up very little space on the counter and on the shelf for storage. It's super simple to operate, turn the dial to your desired setting, wait until the light turns green, fill the batter, and when the light turns green again, the waffle is finished. It did a great job and cleanup is super simple.
