So far, I love the versatility and functions of this pressure cooker.
Admittedly, I am a Ninja fan, and have been using a Ninja Foodi OL700 for the last 3 years. I have loved the versatility of this pressure cooker since it has only one lid and functions include Steam and Cook, Broiling, and so much more. Alas, my beloved pressure cooker has been giving me an error message that, according to customer service, indicates the circuit board is going. Although I will continue to use it, I know it is dying and have been on a mission to find a replacement for it. Since the available Ninja Pressure Cookers have 2 lids, I don't want to have to store a separate lid.I did research a number of different pressure cookers and the options they provided, but none of them met my basic requirements. Since Instant Pot is a known and trusted brand, I found this pressure cooker. Granted, it doesn't have all of the functionality I had gotten used to, but it would accomplish most of the tasks of a pressure cooker with the options that are important to me. In my testing, it preheated for both steaming and pressure cooking in about 8 minutes which is faster than others I tested. So, what do I like about this pressure cooker?1) The stainless steel cooking pot is easy to clean and doesn't stain or wear as the cooking pot provided for the Ninja OL700 pressure cooker. This is a definite plus over the Ninja pressure cooker.2) The cooking pot has handles for removing the pot from the pressure cooker. This is definitely a plus as most pressure cookers, including Ninja, require heat-resistant gloves to remove the pot from the cooker.3) I use my pressure cooker for steaming vegetables I grow at least 2 times a week. Some of the pressure cookers I found steamed under pressure. This pressure cooker does not steam under pressure. So, a vented glass cover can be used for steaming. This makes cleanup easier as the pressure lid is more difficult to clean and dry than a glass lid. I bought the vented glass lid to use for steaming in this unit.4) The sauté' mode of this pressure cooker allows selection of multiple levels of heat whereas other have only low or high as options. Since I often make gravy using roast dripping, I have found that low is too low and high boils. Since gravy requires simmering, neither if these options works. I like that I can select the heat level I need with this model.5) Preheats faster than other units I tested. It took about 8 minutes to preheat for both steaming and pressure cooking starting with cold water.I haven't used the other preprogrammed functions of this pressure cooker as most of the time, I know the setting needed. Even so, I appreciate that I don't need to use preprogrammed settings when I don't need to. Overall, I am happy with this pressure cooker. It doesn't have all of the functions my Ninja Pressure Cooker has, but it works for what I need, and it is the best I have found.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Handles are the best part, all of them should be like this. Everything works very well so far.
This thing really works well. Full stainless interior, and LOVE the handles. Was always a PITA to get the bowl out if you wanted to cool/move the contents quickly. Lots of features on this, many different cook cycles. Wife loves cheesecake but has yet to try this option...seriously, it has a cheesecake option...lol! Before you know it, they're going to have this thing do fondue's and rotisseries..and maybe pressure wash your car (jk, lol). The delay setting is one of the best features next to variable levels of pressure cooking. I throw in my meat, potato, veggies whatever and some broth/spices, etc. Set it for whatever time to start and I come home from work to a freaking awesome meal that is SOOO easy...so many options to cook whatever you want, however you want once you refine everything.I don't know what I'd do without one of these. Slow cook, fast cook, high temp, low temp, start now or later, keep warm, etc..etc. If you use one of these as much as I do, get this pro model with the handles, it's worth it.

Little did I know
When I think of a pressure cooker I imagine them being like the ones my grandmother used. The older pressure cookers could at times be very dangerous BUT this pressure cooker is beyond wonderful! I’ve cooked several meals in it and I love the ease of cooking with it.. I don’t have to constantly monitor it and the pressure release valve is a great thing to have. Example: I took a roast out of the freezer and let it sit out a while but when I got ready to cook it the thing was still frozen solid. So I googled can I cook a frozen roast in my pressure cooker. It said I could so I put it in pot and closed it shut. It took exactly 40 mins to cook it! Once it was done the roast was so very very tender!! I recommend this product to every full time working mom of kids!

Better control panel and cooking time!
This is the 3rd instant pot that I've bought here, but I think although longer term it doesn't seem to last more than a few years, the quality of the item has been improved and new features are very much appreciated.Like the handles are well done, and the other improvements such as cover for steam vent to disperse the steam when cooking is done and cooking speed from when the start button is pressed to the actual cooking start seems to be faster. The new lid on the pot has a little area where something can be kept warm, (I'm guessing) I haven't checked out the function of this feature yet, but I will. Safety upgrades are good too!

So many functions so little time
I use this machine for everything. It makes the quickest most tender bbq pulled chicken. The fastest hard boiled eggs. The most thick collagen filled bone broth with amazing flavor! Each button is easy to understand, this product so so user friendly. Soon I'll be attempting to make my own yogurt in it. I originally was going to save up and get an All American Pressure Cooker but $400 is a little too much to splurge on a pressure cooker. This product is a great start for dipping your feet in homesteading/canning. If you follow all the instructions it's the safest machine... this coming from the most accident prone human. Above all else, this cooker is built to last and the highest quality! I have used this for years and it works beautifully!

Many awesome functions and getting the larger capacity is the key.
I've used it once since receiving it. Worked great. It's hard to give accurate ratings when Amazon and other consumer product suppliers ask for reviews as soon as you receive them?
