I purchased both the shampoo and conditioner. After just a few washes I can already tell my scalp and hair are happy. My scalp tends to get a little dry and itchy in the winter and since I use all other CeraVe products, as recommended by my dermatologist, I figured I would give this a try and so far I am glad I did. My hair feels and looks less dry and frizzy and my scalp is far less itchy.Update: It has now been a month and my hair feels amazing. 1/2 the price of my other shampoo and conditioner and honestly, I have had better results. I have noticed less hair in the drain and my hair is so much smoother and shinier. This shampoo and conditioner are definitely a great choice for my hair and skin type. I was even able to use it, without worry, before my surgery because it is scent free. I just order another bottle of the conditioner but don’t quite need more shampoo yet. I have long thick hair and always tend to use more conditioner. I recommend giving it a try, I think you’ll be happy you did.

We bought this because of the name. My wife and I already use their soap products as it is gentle on our skin. This is the same. It seems to be effective on our dandruff but gentle on our scalps. The fragrance is very mild and it lathers up well. We are happy with this product.

I have a little snowflake dandruff problem and I always had to keep buying other shampoos so it wouldn't get worse. I am now approaching a month of using this product and I am now buying my 2nd bottle because THIS WORKS. I know it says use like once or twice weekly, but I use it for every hair wash day, which is 2-3 times weekly. On some days, the 'snowflake' dandruff can be worse due to extra product I put in my hair, but I shampoo twice and the next day I wake up dandruff and itchy free. I'm still on my hair journey and wondering how to style it and all that, but I feel soooooo much less stress and actually enjoying my hair now due to this product and helping getting rid of the dandruff.Notes: There is 'no smell', it just smells like anything that titles itself 'no fragrance', which is fine for me since I have a good-smelling conditioner and hair oils I use sometimes too.

Hair feels so clean and soft after shampooing. Definitely helps with my dandruff. Doesn’t leaves your hair feeling dry like other brands. A little product goes a long way.

As someone reactive to most fragrances, this new product is a GODSEND. This is the ONLY affordable zinc shampoo on the market that’s also fragrance free. I couldn’t find anything and I’ve been looking quite actively. Consequently I was so excited when Cerave came out with this line. And it has fixed everything, which is such a relief. So thanks Cerave for delivering a product that was sorely needed. And better, making something that I can actually afford to use it as a daily shampoo. I was using TSAL which is a good product in itself but its active ingredient wasn’t addressing the root of my issue perfectly and oh my goodness is that little bottle pricy.I will admit my hair is a little flat using it as my daily but my alternative has been volume and a horrible itchy scalp so I’ll take it. And honestly, that’s probably more the hard water I shower in. If I was using this in soft water I suspect it wouldn’t even be an issue. And it is gentle enough to use daily which is a huge plus. Speaking of — another point for actually being able to work in hard water! So many shampoos leave my hair greasy no matter how much I wash it and I would have to use a clarifying shampoo to remedy it. Not so with Cerave!

Ever since I had kids my hair and scalp get so heavy and oily after a few days and I can’t get it off even with multiple shampoos in a single wash. This did the trick with a scalp brush (Jupiter brand) to massage it in. I did it three applications and then conditioner. Works awesome. No more itchiness and hair has volume again.

I've been using the CeraVe Hydrating Anti-Dandruff Shampoo consistently for a little over a month now, and while I appreciate some of its qualities, I can’t say I’ve seen a significant change in my dandruff condition. I initially bought it because I trusted the CeraVe brand and liked the idea of a more gentle, hydrating formula that includes ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid—ingredients that are usually great for skin health.To its credit, the shampoo is non-irritating and doesn’t strip moisture from my scalp or hair. It lathers decently for a sulfate-free formula and has a mild, non-offensive scent. My scalp feels clean after use, and there’s no dryness or tightness, which I’ve experienced with harsher anti-dandruff products in the past.However, in terms of actual dandruff control, the results have been underwhelming. I still notice flakes. I was hoping that with consistent use, I’d see visible improvements, but after a month, my scalp condition seems more or less the same.It's possible this formula works better for those with very mild or occasional dandruff, but for persistent flaking and itchiness, it might not be strong enough as a standalone solution. I do appreciate the focus on scalp health, but I may need to switch back to a more proven active ingredient or medicated option for better results.Overall: not bad, but not effective enough for me — 3 stars.

For the last 6 years I’ve been dealing with extremely itchy and oozy scalp eczema. I’ve used prescription scalp serums and prescription shampoos and every OTC shampoo (including ones with the same active anti-fungal ingredient as this)— all with limited results. I tried this because I like the Cerave lotions. This has saved my scalp. The redness, itching, flaking- all gone. I’m amazed.
