Q: Does this crimper accept Paladin dies or some other standard die shape if I want to crimp another style of terminal? It looks like it should.

I'm not familiar with "Paladin" dies, but the jaws are removable. I tried to contact the manufacturer, but I had no luck. The one thing I don't like about this crimper is the fact that it only crimps the wire portion, but not the strain-relief crimp over the insulation. The ones that do that cost a lot more.

Yes, it definitely does both crimps at the same time. I have done thousands of crimps with this tool.

Q: Does it crimp closed barrel fork terminals?

This is for open barrel style terminals by companies like Molex. These types of terminals have 4 metal tabs that get folded down; 2 over the conductor, 2 over the insulation. What you are describing sounds more like red, blue, or yellow insulated terminals. Gordon, it depends on how much crimping your doing. If it's a small project a hand tool will do that is about $30. Now if your going to be doing a lot a $95 tool will be the best.This tool is intended to crimp open barrel with out seal, or if your very careful you can do the seal also.Thank youVince
